Value In Beliefs is a drama/adventure story by FireRed21. It is a sequel from Full Of Surprises and Forever Together. The story follows with the final sequel Have A Purpose.
Plot summary
The story takes place four years later since the previous story. The Cullens and Jacob Black take a flight to New York to visit Bella Swan's mother Renée Dwyer so that Renesmee Cullen can finally meet Renée since she is the only family Renesmee hasn't met yet and Renesmee is the age she looks.
After a pleasant trip, the Cullens were on a flight heading back to Forks when their plane was struck by lightning caused by Benjamin causing their plane to crash in Detroit, Michigan. The Cullens were stranded and because Alice Cullen's visions aren't temporary working, they are lost with no way to head home.
The Cullens started going on foot through the woods until they reached a city. They ended up lost again in an alleyway where they bump into a coven of vampires; Zoran, Barry, Max, Dawn and Virgil. They smelled Renesmee and Lucina Stewart's blood due to their half human traits causing them to target the two. The Cullens tried to fight off Zoran's coven but are at a disadvantage despite the numbers due to Zoran's coven's gifts. Just when it appears to be the end, the Cullens were assisted by the Detroit coven; Mordecai Coleman, Jalen Long, Eden Love, Sophia Faye, Cameron Parker, Ariana Vega and William Heart chasing away Zoran's coven. After introductions, the Cullens noticed that Tiffany Stewart is missing; she took off thinking that the Detroit coven are with Zoran and she was trying to distract them but failed, so Mordecai sends Jalen to find her due to his tracking sense. Jalen finds Tiffany until they both recognize each other as they knew each other when they were kids and started to catch up with one another.
The Cullens and the Detroit coven were searching for Tiffany and Jalen when they hid themselves from two humans, Steve and Spike who knows the existence of vampires, not fully though. Afterwards, they asked Mordecai on directions to the airport causing Mordecai question them why adding insults to Renesmee and Lucina of their half human traits resulting nearly a heated feud between the two covens. The Cullens went seperate ways as Edward Cullen explains to them why Mordecai resents humans.
Meanwhile, Jalen tells Tiffany that the reason why Mordecai resents human is because of how he was mistreated as a human. Jalen also explains how he ran away from his foster home because of how he is wanted for attempting rape on his foster sister Elena Margaret while beating his foster father for silence (his foster father is the one attempting rape and Jalen beats him to save her) and how he was mistreated since losing his parents. He also explains how he, Mordecai and the rest of their coven came together after being mistreated and their life mission of killing disrespectful humans believing that humans show no respect to others except for those who do matter. Tiffany then shows Jalen how not all humans are bad by giving him the life experience he missed out on. During that, Tiffany developed feelings for Jalen.
During that, the Cullens are still lost when they came across a house on fire with kids inside. Lucas Stone goes in with Edward's help and togethe, they successfully rescued the kids without getting burned. Their actions earned the respect from Mordecai and his coven who witnessed the scene. They invited the Cullens to their place where they found Jalen and Tiffany making out causing a brief riff between Jalen and Mordecai.
Jalen and Tiffany went outside to get away when Steve and Spike came and found Tiffany chasing after her. The Cullens had an idea thanks to Alice, who was slowly regaining her gift. They were able to make Steve and Spike believe that what they saw about vampires were just hallucinations and that they were being crazy. However, Jalen ended things between him and Tiffany since they are two different people leaving Tiffany heartbroken as she took off only that Jalen said that so she could go home with the Cullens.
Both covens failed to find Tiffany as Jalen couldn't face her so Mordecai urges that the Cullens should get to the airport now without Tiffany. Mordecai and led the Cullens to where they need to go and went seperate ways. The Cullens whoever stopped and decided to turn back and find Tiffany but they were ambushed by Zoan's coven before doing so. The Cullens were at a disadvantage again only worse until Tiffany came and saves them while also destroying Zoran's coven single handily.
The Cullens finally returned home to Forks but Tiffany is still depressed from being heartbroken after three days until Jalen came surprising her to confess his love for Tiffany while also joining the Cullens to start over his life. The Cullens celebrate having Jalen as part of the family. Tiffany takes Jalen to her and Lucina's cottage at night where Tiffany and Jalen made love.
Outtakes were in the story of how the Detroit coven was form along with meeting Steve and Spike and the Detroit coven.
