Kate, true name Katrina, is a vegetarian vampire and one of the "original" Denali sisters, along with Tanya and Irina. She has a strong relationship with her coven mates, as well as with the Olympic coven, who the Denalis consider their extended family or "cousins". The coven is joined by the Detroit coven consisting members of Mordecai Coleman, Eden Love, Cameron Parker, Sophia Faye, Ariana Vega and William Heart. Kate is strong-minded and has the talent of creating a psychic electrical shock on her skin which shocks anyone who comes into contact with her.
She first meets Garrett in Breaking Dawn when the Cullens acquire their help with the Volturi. They connect and eventually become mates. Her Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined counterpart is Kirill.
She is portrayed by Casey LaBow.

The Other Half
Kate never appeared in The Other Half but Bella mentions that she and her coven came over on the Cullen’s new member Lucas Stone’s birthday where they got to meet him for the first time.
Happily Ever After
Kate attends the wedding of Lucas and Krystal Diamond with her coven where she meets Krystal and gives her congratulations to the married couple at the reception. There, she playfully was about to use her gift to shock Krystal when she held out her hand only to make Lucas take it since his aura was off. Kate was seen watching with everyone to see Lucas and Krystal drive away on their honeymoon.
Have A Purpose
Kate and her coven return to Forks to attend the wedding ceremony of Tiffany Stewart and Jalen Long. There, she and her coven meet the Detroit coven where their leader, Mordecai Coleman and Tanya developed romantic interest towards one another. After the wedding, the Detroit coven goes with the Denalis to their home and has been living with them due to Mordecai and Tanya’s relationship. Both covens appeared at the end of Have A Purpose to see Jalen and some of the Cullens along with Lucina Stewart’s mate Bryce Summers graduate high school and celebrated at the Cullen’s home.
Long Live Life
The coven received word about mysterious metal vampires attacking and hears about them as vampires that were supposed to be dead and those that are alive today and are gifted. Metal vampires then attacked their city in Alaska and Eleazar, Kate, Eden Love and William Heart followed them joined by Jasper and Jalen leading to the metal vampires' hideout. Without thinking, Kate went inside joined by William along with Eleazar, who tried to stop them, and Eden went after them but, along with the others, was taken and fallen under the control of a half-human half-vampire hybrid Skai using the sword called IL Mietitore Capacità. However, Skai was defeated by the Cullens and the sword was destroyed releasing the captured Detroit coven from his control.
The coven came later to attend Luna Snow and Lucien Summers' wedding.
