Gianna (pronounced JAH-nah) was a woman employed as a secretary for the Volturi. She knew what the Volturi were and what they did and, similar to Bella, hoped to become a vampire. She is almost immediately thought to be an idiot by Edward and Alice Cullen in New Moon. It seemed like Alice didn't like her, as she shot a dark look towards her. In Have A Purpose, it is revealed that Demetri was her mate and she had died giving birth to their daughter Jemma.
She is portrayed by Justine Wachsberger.

Have A Purpose
During the story, Edward revealed that Gianna was Demetri’s mate. Sometime after Edward, Bella and Alice left Volterra in New Moon, Gianna was pregnant and Demetri stayed by her side while falsely informing Aro that she was sick. Gianna soon give birth to their daughter Jemma but died soon after. Demetri sends Jemma away not knowing the outcome of half human half vampire hybrids to avoid the Volturi to kill her and Demetri before he understood the nature after the confrontation with between the Volturi and the Cullens.
