Claire Ateara (née Young) is the niece of Emily Young, the cousin of Seth and Leah Clearwater, and Quil Ateara V's imprintee. She is a member of the Makah tribe and lives on the Makah reservation. She is the mother of Isaiah and Suzanne Ateara and the mother-in-law of Derrick and Stacy Call.
She is portrayed by Sienna Joseph as young Claire while her older version is uncredited.

Eight Years Later
Claire grows up as a teenager as she became close to Quil. She was aware of imprinting but hasn’t developed feelings for him until one day when they were hanging out, Claire starts to see Quil as more than a friend and confessed her feelings to him. However, Quil states he doesn’t feel the same and left her, leaving Claire devastated in tears. When she came to Emily and told her what happened, Sam pulled Emily for a moment and soon Emily came in upset as she told Sam to tell Claire what he did. Apparently, Sam told Quil not to tell Claire his feelings as he doesn’t want imprinting from stopping Claire from getting an education. This leads to argument between the two as Claire was mad at Sam for meddling in between their relationship. Claire left and met with Quil to tell him what happened. After Sam came over to apologize and talk things out, Quil and Claire finally became a couple.
Long Live Life
Quil and Claire got married and have two kids: Isaiah and Suzanne Ateara. They later moved to Minnesota to the Red Lake reservation due to Jacob creating a new pack in which their son phased for the first time.
