A Reason To Smile is a companion story to The Other Half by FireRed21. It retells the events of The Other Half from the perspective of Krystal Diamond as opposed to that of Lucas Stone.
The story follows up with a spinoff Happily Ever After.
Plot summary
Krystal Diamond has been through a lot the passed year since her mother Sapphire Diamond passed away from cancer and has been living with her father Roark Diamond. Things get harder for her until she met Lucas Stone during school who she falls in love with as he feels the same. It was then Krystal's life turns upside down when she finds out what Lucas is and everything changes when she is brought into the supernatural world
In the outtakes at the end of the story, the first two were in the perspectives of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen retelling the events on the first day of school and the rest were on Krystal's friends Carly Jensen, Nathan Dallas and Danielle Olsen retelling the events when they were imprinted by the wolves and being brought into the supernatural.
